Nimbin Community Centre - Volunteer

Nimbin Community centre was born by the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers. We continue to have strong relationships with volunteers who help in a whole range of different activities around the Centre. If you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you.

Some of the activities we currently engage volunteers in are:

• Office administration: photocopying, filing, database management
• Garden & building maintenance: weeding, mowing, planting
• Working bee volunteers: occassionally we require a pool of volunteers to attend working bees.

From time to time we require specialist skills and trades. We would appreciate help from professionals willing to donate their time or reduce their commercial rates for the benefit of the community. If you are happy to offer your services please contact us.

Nimbin Community Centre encourages volunteer involvement,. We have a volunteer policy outlining our responsibilities to volunteers. In the future we will be advertising particular volunteer roles for project work on the website.

Work for the dole

We have several workers that are part of the Work-for-the-dole program. If you are interested in working at the Centre please contact your job service provider initially and get the full details of the program,  including details of your eligibility. We are happy to provide opportunities for people wishing to expand their employabilty options or just act as a stepping stone into the workforce.
