Nimbin Early Learning Centre

Welcome to our multi-age Education and Care Centre.

We have been providing the community of Nimbin with a child focused and nurturing environment since 1999. We cater for children from 6 months to school age, 5 days a week all year.

(Except for 2 weeks at Christmas /New year).

Our centre hours are 8.30 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday.

$65.00 per day before CCS

The number of CCS subsidised childcare hours available to a family depends on how many hours of work, study, job-search or volunteering both parents report to Centrelink. For more information regarding how to apply for CCS and what is involved please refer to pamphlet provided in enrolment pack.

Our Child Focused Programs

The Preschool Program

Weekly preschool and school transition programs allow age appropriate experiences with specific focus on the development areas such as Cognitive development (literacy , numeracy and name recognition), social and emotional development (rules setting and self help skills). These tasks will be beneficial towards independence and self esteem at kindergarten. Parents are encouraged and supported to participate in the programs. Become an active participant in the day by assisting the staff with the daily routines like encouraging children to pack away, share a skill with the children by cutting up fruit for morning tea.

The Toddler Program

The toddler program allows for children's needs to move towards being independent, it also allows frequent changes of activities, exercise and space, time and places to run and explore.

Family Support

Staff are here to support you and your child, and provide feedback regarding your child's development. We are able to assist parents needing support from other agencies with advocacy and referral.

Playgroup gives children an opportunity to socialise through informal play. It also provides parents and educators an opportunity to share ideas and experiences. It is a great transition to starting child care in a supportive environment.

Above all, learn through play. We run free “Activity Mornings” every Wednesday during school term from 10.30am to 11.30am
