Louise arrived in Nimbin in 1985 and started the famous and iconic Nimbin Museum with (then husband) Michael Balderstone.
She is a trained Registered Nurse and has also worked as a Family Support worker for the Nimbin Neighbourhood and Information Centre and as a teacher for the Nimbin Community School at that time.
Louise was part of the original fundraising and organising committee for the purchase of the Nimbin Community Centre 20 years ago and has remained a passionate supporter since that time.
Louise moved out of the area about 10 years ago, to work as a remote area nurse in the Northern Territory, but has returned recently to what she sees as her true home and is keen to engage and support in community related projects and ideas.
