Michael Balderstone is a familiar and respected figure in the heart of Nimbin, widely known for his long-standing advocacy and community leadership. As President of the Nimbin HEMP Embassy and a leading voice within the Legalise Cannabis movement, Michael has been a passionate advocate for cannabis law reform for decades.

His commitment to harm reduction, education, and sustainable cannabis policy has made him a well-known presence not only in Nimbin, but across Australia. Beyond his advocacy work, Michael has consistently supported local events and grassroots community initiatives, helping bring people together to share knowledge and challenge stigma.

Michael returns to the NCCI Committee after serving for many years previously, bringing with him deep local knowledge, continuity and a strong commitment to community wellbeing.
