Wil Polson
President
Wil was born and raised in Nimbin and has been a dedicated committee member since 2021. In 2023, he took on the role of chairperson, bringing his leadership and vision to the forefront of our organisation. After completing his PhD in Media and Communication at RMIT University in 2020, Wil returned to his hometown with a passion for utilising his skills to support and develop community projects.
Wil’s academic background and professional experience bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the NCCI committee. His high level of critical thinking, research, writing and creative direction have been invaluable assets to both the committee and the broader Nimbin community.
Since a young age, Wil has been actively engaged with the community, fostering strong connections and understanding the unique needs and aspirations of Nimbin residents. His commitment to community service is evident in his proactive approach to addressing local issues and spearheading initiatives that promote growth and development.
As chairperson, Wil’s contributions extend beyond his technical skills; his genuine passion for community engagement and his ability to inspire others make him a key figure within the NCCI. We are fortunate to have Wil leading our committee, where his dedication and expertise continue to make a significant positive impact.
