With 289 volunteers (110 of them regulars), the Urban Landcare community contributed 9,938 hours of hard work, care and passion. That effort controlled 57 hectares of weeds, restored 8.6 km of riverbanks and placed 22,535 native plants in the ground (with an incredible 90% survival rate). On top of that, 48 hectares of bushland were actively cared for and protected.
In total, the program delivered an outstanding $351,300 in community and environmental benefit from a $41,000 investment — that’s more than an $8.50 return for every $1 invested!
We’re proud to be part of this collective achievement, working together to keep our patch of Nimbin thriving for future generations.
