A Hunk of Trunk for Aquarius Park!
We would like to share that Aquarius Park now has a new "Hunk of Trunk" – a natural tree hollow replica equivalent to a 200-year-old tree! This incredible addition will provide essential habitat for our local wildlife, supporting them until young trees mature and develop their own natural hollows.
A big thank you to the Nimbin Environment Centre and their Nimbin Nesting Box Project, generously funded by a WIRES national grant, for making this possible.
Installation was expertly handled by Dave and Eli from WildBNB, with support from Triny (NEC).
Check out the photos of Dave, Eli (up in the tree!) and Triny in action!
This is another step towards creating a sustainable and nurturing environment for our wildlife
